STSJP early childhood programs give children the skills and tools they need to be successful as students. There is an emphasis on literacy and numbers skills, allowing children to learn in context while surrounded by acceptance, love, understanding and a feeling of security and structure.
Preschool is for children who are 3 years old by August 1.
Preschool is Monday - Friday full day (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
Pre-kindergarten is for children who are 4 by August 1, and who will enter kindergarten the following year.
Pre-K is Monday - Friday full day (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
STSJP offers full-day kindergarten. All students receive instruction in the core areas of reading, writing, mathematics and religion, along with science, social studies and the arts. Full-day students benefit from opportunities for enrichment or remediation, and have time for additional exploration through learning centers.
"My hope for my students is to feel loved and welcomed. For some of our students, this is their first experience in a school setting or even being away from mom and dad. My goal is that the parents also feel at ease with sending their children to Pre-K. They have a choice and I want them to be confident in their decision."
- Marcia Foye, Pre-K Aide
"Kindergarten sets the foundation for the rest of one's Educational Experience! We have great fun, as we love, learn, and grow to make Jesus happy in what we say and do!
- Amy Carbaugh, Kindergarten Teacher
