“I grew up in Northwest Indiana then attended Indiana Wesleyan University. This is my 30th year teaching and my 6th year at STSJP. I came to STSJP through the influence and help of several amazing families after teaching piano to their children.”
"My name is Mylen Philapy. I was born in the Philippines. I finished Bachelor of science in Commerce major in Banking and finance. I have 2 beautiful girls 11 and 8 years old. I do love spending time with my family and play games."
"My name is Marcia Foye. I was the preschool/pre-kindergarten teacher for 13 years. I stepped away for a few years. This is my first year back and I returned to pre-kindergarten. I have been a parishioner of St. Joan of Arc for 31 years. My husband and I have two grown daughters that attended STSJP.
My hope for my students is to feel loved and welcomed. For some of our students, this is their first experience in a school setting or even being away from mom and dad. My goal is that the parents also feel at ease with sending their children to pre-k. They have a choice and I want them to be confident in their decision."
Hola! My name is Teresa Floyd. I teach Prekindergarten. I have been a member of St. Patrick’s Church my entire life. I am very happy to be back at STSJP after a long hiatus to raise my 4 kids. As soon as the school year begins, my kiddos will learn that “there is a time to work and a time to play”. In my classroom, we have fun doing both of these things. I can’t wait to help your child get ready for Kindergarten. I’m also looking forward to sharing my love of Jesus with your child.
"Hi my name is Amy Carbaugh. I teach Kindergarten at St. Patrick School. I am a Saint Joan of Arc Parishioner and I came from teaching in Lafayette, Indiana. I am so blessed to be here and work with this wonderful Church Family!
Kindergarten sets the foundation for the rest of one's Educational Experience! We have great fun, as we love, learn, and grow to make Jesus happy in what we say and do!"
"My name is Antonina Hawkins. I have been teaching or have been a paraprofessional for over 35 years.I have always taught in a Catholic school and love to share Jesus with the students. What do I like to do with my time? I like to read, clean, organize and spend time with my family."

“Greetings! My name is Samantha Harden, and I have most recently taught in Lafayette. I am here because I have a lifelong friend who convinced me how wonderful this school is...and she was right! I have two grown children, a husband of 31 years, and the most wonderful 70 pound marshmallow dog named Opie. I really enjoy the younger kids probably because I am a kid at heart. In my spare time, I read, run, and eat out too much. It is my joy to work here.”

"Hello, I'm Mrs. Gilbody. I've been teaching at STSJP for six years now, and something I say over and over again is that STSJP is the best school with the best students (and the best parents)! Teaching here is such a joy because the teachers, parents, and students work together cooperatively to ensure the success of each student."

“Hello, I am Mrs. D'Agostino. This is my first year teaching at STSJP. I have been a parishioner of St. Patrick for two years now. I am originally from Tennessee but I grew up as a military brat so I have lived all over the U.S throughout my life. I graduated from Western Governors University in 2020. I have been loving working with the students and I look forward to many more years to come!”
"Hi! My name is Kim Maxwell-Murdock, but everyone calls me Mrs. M&M. I've been teaching for over 15 years, but I've only been at STSJP for 6 years. I graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I'm married to James and I have four children, two daughter-in-laws, and three beautiful granddaughters, Arwen (3), London (1), and Josie (9 months). I love it here. Some of us have said, this is the best kept secret in Kokomo. I think a lot of people don't think they can send their kids here if they aren't Catholic and that's just not the case. It's time to get the word out so others can benefit from this wonderful school!"
"Hi Dad, Mom, Grandpa, Grandma and all community families! I am Mike Bower, Ph.D., and was most recently the MS Science teacher during the Fall of 2021.. Due to health issues, I had to leave this wonderful student focused school where the children ARE the priority for learning.
After approximately 20 years in business and industry and 25 years in higher education as a teacher and college president, retirement brought my wife and myself to the Kokomo area.
My wife, as a cradle Catholic, was a positive influence as I converted to the Catholic beliefs through STJ, RCIA in 2018. I was blessed as God led me in this incredible journey of faith and friendship.
My background includes working relationships with over 100 K-12 school systems during my tenure in six different states.
Accepting the MS position teaching position at STJ was one of the most important choices I have made. I will continue this statement as we go forward in my love for this school.
Although I am no longer with the school, the professional team of teachers coached by Principal Nick Kanable, are a real blessing to the great success of this middle school!"
"I have taught elementary, middle, and high school age students as well as being a building level principal and a superintendent in public education prior to retirement and my return to the classroom at STSJP. My husband and I have been married for 44 years and have five grown and married children and 11 grandchildren. I am also a business owner and love to sew, crochet, and spend time with my family. And just in case there is any question...BOILER UP and GO SAINTS!!"
"Hello! My name is Nicole Miller and I am the new middle school Social Studies teacher at STSJP. This is my first year as a teacher and I couldn’t have asked for a better school to be at. My past experience was in higher education for 10 years which I feel gave me great tools and training for the transition I made. I am married with two boys who keep us busy playing various different sports."
