Our April Virtue: Responsibility
Throughout the month of April, we are focusing on the virtue of Responsibility. Holy Week offers a special opportunity for us to talk, at home and and at school, about accepting the consequences of our actions.
SCHOOL CANCELLED FRIDAY, MARCH 24
Our school has been hit hard by illness this week. Today, Thursday, we had more than 19% of our students out sick, and 35% of our St. Patrick Campus students were out sick. After consulting with the Howard County Health Department, we have decided as a precaution against further spread of illness, there will be
NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY, MARCH 24.
We pray everyone has a safe and healthy spring break!
Our March Virtue - RESPONSIBILITY
Throughout March, we will focus on the virtue of Responsibility. We define this as accepting the consequences of our actions. Please use the family handout from your Friday Folder to begin a conversation at your home about Responsibility.
Mass at St. Patrick on Monday, March 13
All-school Mass will move to St. Patrick on Monday, March 13. Fr. Reginald Lynch, OP, who is St. Patrick's Lenten Mission Speaker, will give the homily. Middle School students will remain after Mass for a special presentation with Fr. Lynch. As always, parents are encouraged to join us for Mass!
It's Fish Fry Time!

No School Friday, Feb. 17
All STSJP students and their families are encouraged to attend the funeral of our Business Manager, Mr. Mike Anderson, on Friday, Feb. 17, at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick Church. Mr. Anderson was an invaluable asset to our school and champion of Catholic education. To allow our teachers and staff to participate in the funeral, there will be no school on Friday. Students are asked to attend the funeral with their families and to wear a school uniform shirt to the funeral. Visitation with the Anderson family will be Thursday at Stout & Son on Lincoln, where the Rosary will be prayed at 4; visitation will continue until 8 p.m. Please keep Mr. Anderson and his family in your prayers, and thank God for his service to our school and our families.
December Virtue: HOPE
Throughout December, we will be talking about the virtue of Hope: desiring Heaven and waiting with trust on God’s actions. During the season of Advent, we wait and trust in the Lord's coming. Parents, look for more on the virtue of Hope, including family discussion questions, in your child's blue communications folder.
Join us Friday, Nov. 18, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the SJA campus for our first Coffee House of the year, featuring the talents of our preschool/pre-kindergarten, 5th, 7th & 8th grades - plus open mic! Family-friendly fun for all! No uniforms, no admission fee - just a cool and relaxing hour of music.
